Non-Stick Uteruses and Free Samples

Thank you ALL for your well wishes and gleeful comments. Sincerely. You guys are too fucking sweet. I'm just a little sad to report that the Zygote was not quite ready to be an earthling yet, and so it did not stick. Although I may have shed a tear or two, as is usual I am donning my handy-dandy rose-tinted glasses. I just wouldn't be me without them. Everything happens for a reason, and this is no exception.

Prior to this, we weren't really trying to get me knocked up. We weren't really trying not to get me knocked up either, but there was no purposeful babymaking going on behind our closed doors. Zube Boy was a bit ambivalent about having kiddos at this point in our lives, however, he was surprised to find himself super-excited and then super-disappointed when it didn't stick around, and now he is fully on board with the babymaking deal.

Straight from the pie hole of my infamous husband, "We'll make another one." And I'll be taking vitamins and shit, which really should be happening before you get knocked up and not start the day you, uh, take a pregnancy test and get a big fat positive. Folic acid, people. Makes for good spines, and great brains. I'm all over it now.

Just a little snippet of a conversation we had this morning, so y'all know that the Zubes are still, well, the Zubes:

The scene: We're in the bedroom where I'm getting changed and Zube Boy is watching the boob tube.

Z-Girl: Honey, check out my jugs.

Z-Boy: Blank stare

Z-Girl: Um. Well. Okay. Maybe they're a little more on the scale of Avion water bottles...

Z-Boy: No, honey. No. They're like free samples.

Doesn't he know that he should be showering me with kisses and rubbing my feet?!?! What the fuck?! Heh. Just kidding. I wouldn't have him any other way. In fact, if he weren't taking jabs at my attention whoring sex kitten wannabe self, I would suspect something was up. Something fiendish. I will say, though, that it would be nice if he would stop calling me donkey-lips. That's just, um, not cute. At all.

Again. Thanks for rocking. Yous guys are so good with that!

Until next time, peace out bitches!

Big hugs to you and the eloquent Zube Boy.

Bonanza- Thank you for the gifts! I'm sure I will *totally* appreciate them!

And seriously, I just get TOO excited when I imagine hanging out with my blog friends in person! Hee.

Chickie- Thanks for the hugs. :-)

Sorry to hear that. But I look forward to hearing the good news again. Maybe in the meantime, you can work on your Paint Shop skills....

Zubegirl, I'm so sorry little Zygote didn't stick around. But the good news is, you get to keep on practicing until the "purposefull babymaking" time comes ;) Glad you guys are taking it in stride . . . you're absolutely right that things happen for a reason.

But, to be honest, I really must question Zubeboy's manhood at this point. Any guy that just gives a blank stare when a woman says "check out my jugs" just ain't right in the head. lol

Oh, that's a bummer, sorry to hear it. It'll happen though.

I'm sorry for your loss. Can we not dwell on the sadness of it all and maybe look to the humorous side? With PaintingChef AND you pregnant, you would only get HALF the blogger doting you deserve. Also, with your gimpy husband, who would wait on you? When the forces in the universe are aligned, and you can draw in all the selfish attention you deserve, you will get yourself knocked up! Plus, you have a new addition to your household, and Zinnia needs a good mommy, too.

Keep your chin up, Kid. You're in my thoughts.

aawwwww :(

wishing you guys the best, zube. more people go through this than you know - until it happens to you, too. doesn't make it easier, but know you're not alone either.

take care.

Junebee- Ah yes. The Paint Shop skills need work for sure!

Courtney- I hereby vow, though, not to become on of those crazy ladies who is so obsessed about getting preggo that she forgets to have fun during the process!

Phil- Zube Boy is a strange bird. That's the only explanation. :-) And, I try to take everything in stride, because there really is no other way.

Anduin- Thanks. :-) It will happen.

Librarian- I deserve all the attention I can manage to whore for myself! You could not be more right! :-)

Rick- Yeah, SO many people I know have gone through it. It's not at all uncommon. Thank you. :-)

Dutch Oven- Mmmmm...Rampant Zube sex. Yum! Thanks. :-)

ZG, I'm sorry to hear the news, but you have great perspective (which is a good trait in a parent, hee hee!). Go have a beer; someday, we'll have one together. Virtual hugs to you.

Hang in there, ZG. It's only a matter of time.

Lala Lisa- Thanks for the props. :-) I'm doing well, but I confess that it does take a little effort.

Mother Goosemouse- We are too close to have any excuse for not having a beer together! It will happen.

Kyknoord- Ah time. I'm patient as hell. Thanks. :-)

Oh, I'm sorry! I agree that all things do happen for a reason, but they still give us a little jab straight to the heart now and then.

You'll be a great mom when the time comes. AND, good call on the folic acid! Very important! Maybe we can have a race to see who gets knocked up first... Greg and I are determined to have a kidling by the end of '06.

I am so sorry.

Still... I agree with what everyone has said about the fun in procreating! Once the little munchkin shows up - it's YEARS before you can get the momentum up again. Just look at us... we had 2... and then it took us 5 years once we decided to start "trying" again. All thanks to kids. LOL

I'm sorry to hear that. You're right, things happen for a reason. Keep us posted on when the time is right and it does happen.

Look at the brightside, Now you can drink to your livers delight on your upcoming vacation!

Fuck that! there is no reason for sadness. There is no higher purpose. I am terrifiyingly sorry for your loss. Life is fleeting. Make another one. Be happy and repopulate the earth.
