A lot of interesting discussion goes on over at this here blog. Actually, a lot of ignorant bashing happens, too. From *both* sides. But I guess that goes with the territory. I would just like to thank the writers for putting themselves out there and sharing their experiences working at an abortion clinic.

It took a few miscarriages, uterine drama, and other heartbreak to get there but they’re worth it. I try not to lose myself in motherhood, hence this blog. It is my space. Though I do reserve the right to wax on about my kids now and again. Also, many moons ago I was raped, got pregnant, and had an abortion. Which resulted in me disassembling my tent and leaving Pro-Life Camp for good. Interestingly, multiple miscarriages made me upgrade my tent at Camp Pro-Choice to a cabin. I hide nothing about that experience. You’ve been warned. Last but not least, if you're not fond of sentences ending in prepositions, the F-Bomb, and random and chaotic use of ellipses, stop here...This blog is not for you.

Thanks for posting that- it was very interesting, and it's a perspective more people need to see.
Talk about setting yourself up for some hostile comments, though- they have my admiration for being there and contributing to the debate.
Take any hot topic and you'll find ignorant a-holes on both sides of the argument. Takes a lot of guts for those folks to put themselves out there like that. Gotta admire that.

Bonanza- You know, I just really don't get the hatred that goes on between either side. What good does that do ANYONE? There are actually two rape survivors who both got pregnant as a result arguing about who is more like a rapist: the one who is against abortion, or the one who is for it. That's just fucking sad. They should be celebrating that they're, you know, survivors. NO ONE is like a rapist except for, a fucking rapist. Anyway...
Phil- You're right. And more often than not it seems like the ignorant ones are the ones who are shouting the loudest, not even listening to the other.
I agree with you Zube, the focus should be the "Survival" of the rape. Instead of them focusing on who is right or wrong...they should look at the reality...it is a woman's choice, if I hadn't had the crap beaten out of me by my rapist BF after he found out I was pregnant, and lost the baby, I would have had an abortion. Thanks for the info...very intresting.
