First Day With My New Feet

The Scene: We're laying in bed, just about to go to sleep.

Z-Girl: Honey?

Z-Boy: Yeah.

Z-Girl: Remember that time when we went on a double date with Miss I* and the Englishman?

Z-Boy: Yeah.

Z-Girl: Remember how Miss I and I were walking together and you and the Englishman were walking behind us?

Z-Boy: Yeah.

Z-Girl: Remember how I sort of tumbled all slow motion style and landed flat on my face?

Z-Boy: Yeah.

Z-Girl: And, do you also remember how you and the Englishman sort of split to walk around me, as if you didn't even know who I was and Miss I was left to help me up?

Z-Boy: Yeah.

Z-Girl: Why did you walk right past me?

Z-Boy: I was going to get help.

Z-Girl: Mmmhmm. Sure you were.

*Miss I (short for Mission Impossible, 'cause this chick is on a mission) and the Englishman are our best married couple friends.

What a sweet man, rushing to get you aid like that. It just oozes sweetness.

I wonder how long he'd been working on that answer, just knowing you would ask one day... :)

Well, at least he didn't laugh and gawk. And at least he walked around you instead of over. So what are you complaining about? ;)

What you need to do next time is reach up and grab one of their ankles. Additionally, there is also a cool way to take people down using your own feet if you're lying on the ground. Just hook your foot around their ankle and press in the back of their knee with your other foot. Of course make sure you are not behind them while you do it because otherwise they fall on top of you.

Does the other couple recall the moment with such clarity?! Do you wonder if they discuss it in bed at night?!

I'd have started pointing and yelling that those guys knocked me down and would someone please kick their asses. :) Nothing like covering up your misstep by blaming the very man who should've helped you up.

You bring up stuff like this right before bed? My husband would be like "go to sleeep, would you?"

They must have been having a good conversation. What are you going to do the next time he trips?

Assmonkey.

I swear, Mike wouldn't have helped me because he'd have been too busy laughing his ass off.

For better or for worse, till death do us part...

I don't recall anything about laughing at our mishaps, do you?
