Who Goes There?

Do you ever feel like you live in a fortress with big, huge walls that no one could EVER scale in a million years and that, just so’s you won’t get lonely in there and start feeling all hermity, you have a megaphone with which to keep people outside of your fortress in the know on what the hell you’re up to in there?

Only it’s weird because, even though you’re sharing most of the daily happenings in your impenetrable fortress, even some of the really ugly shit, you still keep a bit of it to yourself because, well, it's yours after all?

That's what blogging feels like to me sometimes. I have my walls and my Stuff That Nobody Else Knows About, but I have my megaphone, too. And that, somehow, makes it easier to be holed up in here.

I'm just sayin'.

And? I really suck at April Fool's Day jokes. I'm terrible. So terrible, in fact, that it's CRUSHING my ego. I think I'll go jump off a bridge now.

Heh.

Nope. No idea what that's like. None whatsoever. No one does. You're just a freak of nature, Zube. HA! April Fool's. Sort of. ;)

P.S. Now doesn't my lame ass attempt at an April Fool's joke make you feel better about your own April Fool's jokes?

My walls consist mostly of flatulance. But the fun I could have with a megaphone...

I think that's why I don't mind sharing all this stuff with (relatively) random strangers, but I would never invite my co-workers (for example) to check out my blog. If they find it - fine. But I'm not extending the invitation.

I had alot of stuff today that I didn't want to blog about. That's the good thing about a blog, you can be selective about what you put on it.

I relate. There's a lot shared on my blog but some stuff is just too strange to repeat.

I LOVE April fooling people. One time I got a whole bunch of people to phone a lady at work about an add she placed in the paper for a home cleaning service she provided. She didn't place an add of course, but it was funny to see her getting all irritated and trying to explaine to people that she didn't do this and that it was a mistake in the newspaper. Hee, I love april fooling people.

I wish I had that filter... theres very little that I keep out, and then I go "SHIT! Why'd I post that?!?" And then I remember that no one really knows who I am, so it's OK. :)

Have fun in Tahoe!!! Bitch.

DUDE! Totally. I was trying to figure out how to write about the fact that, while a blog makes your life a kind of open book... there's still stuff I won't put in my blog. And MINE is semi-anonymous.

Rock on.
