I'd Like to Introduce You to Random...

Why I'm glad my commute home from work is only five minutes...

At work, we write our name on our food so vultures won't descend upon it...without at least knowing whose it was. I get bored with labeling my food "Zube," so I like to experiment with other ways to keep my coworkers hands off of my Subway turkey sandwich.

(In case you can't read it, it says, "I've been licked."

This Bud's for you...

I'll give you one guess as to where the heating vent is...

Before I leave for work, I lay the stools down because I think they must get tired standing up all the time. Oh, and they happen to prevent 95lb dogs with little gray hairs that are INSANELY difficult to get out of ANYTHING from sleeping on the couch.

Zack seems to forget that he is 95 lbs of muscle and, well, fat (we're working on that) when it comes to kitties with claws. We read on the internet after getting Zack that you're not supposed to have Weimareiners and cats because Weims are hunters and have been known to kill cats. I fail to believe this when Zack is whining and crying while all three cats are happily chomping away at the food I've just put in his bowl. Zack waits for Mommy to scare the big mean kitties away before he'll eat it.

It's kind of ridiculous how scared he is of them. I mean, look at his nub of a tail practically curling up into his asshole. If that doesn't say, "I submit," I don't know what does.

Ahh, snow. We are flying to Denver and then on to Salida for a wedding next week. After 7 years in Sunny Florida, I am looking forward to seeing some of the white stuff. Not to freezing my ass off though. It hits the 50's here and I am bitchin about how cold it is.

Nicky, it's absolutely gorgeous round here right now! Great photo opportunitities, I'm sure. :-) I think Salida is about an hour and a half from here and I'm not sure whether it's snowing there. Surprisingly an hour and a half can make a big difference! I don't know how long you have for the trip, but if you get a chance to cruise around Colorado, you should definitely check out Breckenridge. You've probably got everything all planned, but if not, we're running some killer specials at my hotel, only there is a two night minimum. Have fun in Colorado!

Well, now you can practice peeing your name in the snow!

As for Zack being afraid of the cats, can you blame him? Cats are evil incarnate. They are spawned from the very bowells of Hell. No telling what they're capable of. When Duncan was a pup, my parents' cat tried to gouge his eye out for no reason. Now, they're best of friends. I'm convinced, though, that the entire reason the cat is friendly to him is because even if HE doesn't realize it, SHE knows that all he has to do is sit on her and she's a goner.

And I thought I was the only one who used chairs to keep animals off furniture!!! Whenever I leave the house...for anything...I put the kitchen chairs on the table and kitchen counters to keep Jenny and Frisco off....I love my kitties, but HATE cat hairs on my table and counter!

Phil- I think the animals have reached a truce because claws + nose = pain. Zack does play with the cats, which is so cute to watch. He crouches down real low and plays with his head. I think he knows he could hurt them if he got to into it.

Mergrl- Heh. Now I'm going to want to get a hamster!

TXSM- The chairs are necessary to prevent the spread of animal hair!

I have a wonderful picture of one of my cats curled up in the dog's basket with the dog, paws up on the side, peeking in... They get him every time..

See, that is JUST the opposite of my experience. My experience is that dogs eat barf, car turds, and, yes, used tampons and snotty kleenexes.

I like the creative sandwich labelling.

Did the cat drink all that beer BEFORE he went into the Bud box?

Oh duh. Cars don't crap. I meant CAT turds.

You really seem to enjoy your pets. I really enjoyed mine too. They provide comic relief, which probably isn't a problem at your house.

Zube, I've been thinking about you every time I see all those clouds hanging out on the mountain tops.
