Some More of This and That

-Thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts. The Power Puff Girls made their way to me and I'm feeling SO much better. It was weird, though. It was that scary kind of sad that feels like it might be more of a keeper than a fleeting emotion. You know, the depressed kind of sad where everything seems to suck and you actually feel heavier. Not fatter. Just heavier. Anyway, I'm hoping it's passed. This happens to me EVERY. DAMN. YEAR. at the same time. And it always does pass. Seems to coincide with the days getting longer.

-Okay, I have to confess. I TOTALLY have B-Boobs. That picture down there must have been more flattering. I'm compelled to print out a life-size copy of it and tape it to my chest. Heh. Sorry to have misrepresented The Girls.

-I've always wanted to write an autobiography. Not that I've ever taken any action towards doing so. This one time when I was waitressing, I think I was about 23, a couple of regulars who always sat in my section and tipped me really well, asked me what my dreams were. I told them I wanted to write an autobiography. They said, "Oh, honey, you don't want to do that. You're so young. You haven't experienced enough of life to write about it yet." I wanted to say, "I've experienced so much of life that if it's fairly uneventful from here on out, I'll be happy," but instead I smiled. They liked me. They meant well. They really did. Anyway, if I ever follow through with such a venture, I'm going to dedicate my book to them.

-With all of this James Frey business, I don't know that I want to write an autobiography after all. The Smoking Gun would probably be all up in the grill of the person in my past who might play a key role in my story, trying to find out dirt about me, and he'd be all, "I didn't do it!" Maybe I could write a really shitty autobiography so that no one would really care if it was true or not.

-I don't know what to think of the whole John Frey scandal. I'm reading the book right now. I think it's a good read. That's all I really care about. Did he embellish? I bet he did. Am I still enjoying the book? Yeah.

-Zube Boy FUCKING ROCKS! So, I've been seeing the Monster Ballads commercial for a few months now and every time it comes on I swoon and say, "OH MY GOD, Honey, I LOVE this Song!" to each and every 80's hairband love tune. Anywho, this morning on my way to work, he yelled from bed, "Honey, there is a present on the counter for you." MONSTER BALLADS!!! Woo-hoo!!! I'm listening to it at work right now...Heaven isn't so far away...

SHUT UP!! He did NOT get you Monster Ballads! I've been saying the same thing to Patrick but am I listening to Monster Ballads right now? Um...no.

I read James Frey's book like right before the whole scandal thing and I don't really care about it, it was still an AWESOME book. I want to read his other one too.

So glad that you are feeling better, I've been a little worried my dear.

Awwww, what a sweetie Zube Boy is!

As far as the James Frey book goes, I haven't read it yet but I'm planning to. I don't really care if he is lying as long as it's a good read but it is info to keep in the back of my head while reading.

Running With Scissors and Dry by Augusten Burroughs are really good too.

I'm glad the Blog Answering machine's duties are done for now :)

Well now, I'm glad you're feeling better.

I was actually told the same thing once. About an autobiography, I mean. Honestly? I think you should do it. Even if you never even publish it, writing it might have a cathartic effect. And hey, names could be changed.... Not that I think the fucker should be protected in any way, but I do think that YOU should be, so there you go.

PaintingChef- Yes, he SO does rock. Hee. Thanks for worrying 'bout me a little. :-) I was a little worried about me for a bit there, too. I was thinking some really dark thoughts every once in a while. Anyway, I feel much better.

Chickie- I've heard Running With Scissors is good. I may have to give that one a whirl. I'm glad the answering machine is done, too. :-)

Storm- Yeah. I think you're right. It certainly *would* have a cathartic purpose. I got even more inspired when I read "Lucky" by Alice Sebold. Great book.

Only if you become FAMOUS will people look to tear holes in your autobiography. I personally think you should dedicate it to Zube Boy and all the pets.

I remember those dark dreary days when I lived in Philadelphia. That's one thing I like about Florida, it's sunny at some
point almost all day. Except when there's hurricanes. Then I wish I lived someplace without hurricanes. Like Colorado.

Zube, this morning, just for you, I made a "power Z" with the shower hair on the wall. I hoped it would help. I left it there for my husband to find tomorrow morning, and I plan to deny all knowledge and tell him that Zorro must have used our shower. :)

I'm so glad you are feeling better. What a sweetie Zube Boy is. Lucky you!

It's amazing what listening to music that you really love can do for your outlook, isn't it?

Husbands buy their wives MONSTER BALLADS??? I've always been kind of against myself getting married (cuz I'm kinda hard to put up with), but if husbands do shit like that, I gotta get me one of those!

Glad you're feeling better. I think your autobiography is predestined to be famous given the popularity of your blog and how great you are.

Glad to hear you're better! The Power Puff Girls save the day once again...

I don't have Monster Ballads, but I do have Power Ballads, and most of the songs are the same. I totally have a thing for 80's bands with big hair.

Junebee- See, Colorado is usually incredibly sunny! I think that it's just because it's been snowing so much this year. In Jersey I'd get seasonal depression something fierce what with all of the gray skies all winter long!

Maya- That is SO SWEET you don't even know. Wow. Maybe that's why I feel better. Heh. I'm wondering what your hubby said.

Amy- So sweet. For sure. And I love each and every one of these dang songs!

Happy Villain- SOMETIMES husbands do things like that. Sometimes they do other things. That might be slightly annoying. It's a trade-off. Oh, and I am difficult to deal with. Believe me!

Lisa- I remember seeing the commercial for Power Ballads, too. I also have a thing for 80s hair bands. They're just so AWESOME!!!

We are on the same wavelength, girl. My husband won't buy me Monster Ballads because he says I already have all the original albums anyway. sigh Enjoy.

I *have* monster ballads. I LOVE it, however I listen to it in secret.

I fear the teasing...

Wow. So all it takes to get a chick excited is to buy her a copy of Monster Ballads? Quick, Zube, gimme Hoot's address so I can send her one ;)

And you made it through the tough time again and soon you'll be able to see that the joy and love in your life outweighs the pain so... FUCK OFF PAIN!

I was thinking about you, even though I didn't comment. I'm glad you are feeling better. The PowerPuff Girls rock. As Tacy informed me, "They save the day!"
